Congratulations!

Admitted International Students

Welcome to Quinnipiac! We are excited to welcome you to our Bobcat family. We are committed to helping you in your transition to study in the United States.

Take the Next Step to Becoming a Bobcat

Step 1: Apply for Your Student Visa

To enter the U.S., most foreign nationals will need a passport from their home country and a U.S. visa in their passport. Degree-seeking students and dual-degree students will usually hold F-1 Visas. Visiting exchange students will usually hold J-1 Visas. Some students are dependents of parents already in the U.S. on a visa (H-4, L-2, A-2, etc.). The Quinnipiac International Admissions Office will issue the immigration form (I-20 or DS-2019), which you will need before applying for your U.S. student visa.

Step 3: Log Into Q-Start

Q-Start is our on-boarding platform for new, incoming international students, to help you with every step you need to take to start your journey at Quinnipiac. Q-Start has your complete pre-arrival checklist, and will walk you through steps such as registering for classes, completing health forms, signing up for a tuition payment plan, reviewing the housing contract, and completing placement assessments.

New students will have access to the site once they pay a deposit or are approved for a deposit waiver.

Preparing to Arrive in the U.S.

We are here to guide you through the process for arriving in the United States, including when to arrive and what to expect at the port of entry.

Traveling to the U.S.

It is important to be familiar with the travel options to the U.S. and to Quinnipiac, as well as what you can expect as you proceed through U.S. immigration at your port of entry. Please review this information carefully as you make your travel plans and again prior to your departure.
